The Russell Inn is currently accepting applications for a Hotel Maintenance person.   If you are looking for a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working with people, we encourage you to apply. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the interiors, exteriors and the surrounding grounds of all Russell Inn properties are maintained, safe and presentable at all times and that all mechanical functions on the property and in the guest rooms are in good working order.

Duties include:

  • Minor adjustments/repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems; contacts tradespersons for major repairs
  • Routine maintenance jobs such as minor painting touch-ups, drywall repair, basic carpentry work
  • Monitors pool & chemical levels
  • May move heavy furniture, freight/supplies

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to work independently
  • Trouble shoot and problem solve maintenance issues and call in a tradesperson when necessary
  • Must have a valid driver’s license or be willing to obtain one as soon as possible
  • Have previous demonstrated experience in one or more trades, building caretaking, handy work, plumbing, property maintenance, etc.

About us. The Russell Inn Hotel & Conference Centre is a year-round, first class facility that has been providing a wide range of hospitality services to our local community, as well as thousands of travellers, skiers, and conference guests for over 50 years. Our hotel has 122 rooms between three properties, indoor pool, waterslide and hot tub, conference centre, restaurant, Pizza Hut Express, Subway Sandwich store, Tim Hortons with drive-thru, pub, convenience store, Esso gas bar and beer store all on site. We employ approximately 130 staff. We are also the founder and majority owner of Asessippi Ski Area & Resort.
