Working as part of a team, the HR Assistant has outstanding administrative and communication skills.  You accurately  follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize in a fast-paced environment, and are able to prioritize tasks as they quickly change.

You have an interest in Human Resources and want to learn and work your way to become an HR Generalist.

Key duties include:

  • Assist and support all aspects of recruitment
  • Perform orientations and new hire on-boarding
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas and calendars
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews
  • Maintains personnel files, records and documents
  • Provide high-level administrative support
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Education
  • Class 5 Driver’s License with willingness to travel
  • Highly computer literate with capability in MS office and related business and communication tools
  • Prior experience in a human resources role is preferred
  • Human Resources or Business Administration education is a definite asset but not required

About Us:
The Russell Inn Hotel & Conference Centre is a year-round, first class facility that has been providing a wide range of hospitality services to our local community, as well as thousands of travelers, skiers, and conference guests for over 50 years!  Our hotel has 122 rooms between three properties, indoor pool, waterslide and hot tub, conference centre, restaurant, Pizza Hut Express, Subway Sandwich store, Tim Hortons, Pub, convenience store, Esso gas bar and beer store all on site.  We employ approximately 130 staff.  We are also the founder and majority owner of Asessippi Ski Area & Resort.
